Overview


The Nisqually Tribe’s Enrollment Department purpose and goal is to process all Membership Applications, provide for the development and maintenance of the Nisqually Tribal Membership Roll and to provide services to our Membership.

It is the mission of this department to protect, honor and adhere to the enrollment provisions set forth by the Nisqually Constitution and Bylaws.  To protect all documentation provided for and by tribal members; to assist with integrity, accuracy and the utmost respect of confidentiality.

The duties of the Enrollment Department include but not limited to: Processing of all Applications for Membership, assist with gathering supporting documentation for applications, maintain all Tribal Members Enrollment files, complete Certificates of Indian Blood (CIBs), issue Fort Lewis decals, provide verification of enrollment status, provide membership and eligible voters lists as needed, issue Tribal ID cards, and assist with Bureau of Indian Affairs probate.

Tribal ID cards are issued by appointment only.

** The Enrollment Department is responsible for providing address labels to all departments.  We provide the most current address we have for each tribal member, so we need your help.  Please remember to contact the Enrollment Department by completing the Change Form for:

  •     Address change
  •     Name Change – provide a copy of new Driver’s License or Social Security Card
  •     Death of a tribal member – please provide a copy of the death certificate

 

The Change Form is located here on our website or you may request from the Enrollment Office.


To apply for membership into the Nisqually Indian Tribe you must complete an Enrollment Application contact the Enrollment Department directly to obtain an application form.
